The LED Generation
LED Source: The GREEN LIGHT is in our Hands
A LED (Light Emitting Diode) is a semiconductor that emits visible light when an electric current passes it through. Diodes allow current to run only in one direction, but when this happens they produce photons of light.
In this way, the light is produced in a highly efficient manner since it does not depend on a filament or a device for converting light into electricity. The fundamental technological benefit of LED lighting is the reduced power consumption, in comparison to conventional bulbs. When designed properly, LED lighting can approach 80% efficiency when converting electrical energy to light.
For GDS LSL, the LED source allows the developer of lamp engineering to push energy saving solutions.
