GDS to Present its Innovative Range of Displays at Passenger Terminal Expo 2005
Global Display Solutions Ltd. (GDS), market leader in the design and manufacture of industrial monitors, will present its innovative range of displays at Passenger Terminal Expo, February 22nd-24th 2005, Köln-Messe, Germany on booth # 7000. Among the products being exhibited at the show will be GDS's 32", 37" and 46" Large Screen LCDs, its Moving Floor Display and Touch-Screen LCD Display, all of which can be used for public information and advertising. GDS has a global presence manufacturing and supplying world class information displays to the passenger terminal, banking, medical and process industries.
GDS's innovative Moving Floor Display makes its debut at Passenger Terminal Expo 2005. The result of a shared venture between GDS and Flasma, these displays are ideal for crowd control, information, advertising and security alerts. As they are incorporated into the floor, they do not take up any wall or desk space and being waterproof and durable, they can be used for both indoor and outdoor applications.
GDS's Large Screen LCD Displays will also be on booth # 7000. These displays are available in three sizes - 32", 37" and 46" and have been stylishly designed by Architect Michele De Lucchi. A unique feature is their removable frame which enables the displays to be panelled together behind a single pane of glass, giving the impression of a single, extra-large display. Also all cabling is neatly hidden within the monitor design.
In addition GDS's Touch-Screen Display is being exhibited on booth # 7000. This new innovative display has integrated imaging technology which enables the user to interact with the display by touch. The technology is unique as it recognises where the user places their finger on the screen by utilizing an infra-red illuminated frame and custom line-scan cameras to determine touchpoint. The touch can be registered up to 1mm before physical contact on the screen's surface. The technology negates the need for an overlay, overcoming traditional problems of on-screen degradation whilst ensuring a high visible display.
Finally, GDS will also be showing its new 32" Double Unit Display, which is covered by a single pane of glass, its 15" high brightness Mitra, which is for use in all areas where high ambient light precludes the use of traditional display technologies, its 15" Advanced Optical Enhancement (AOE) Display and 15" standard LCDs.
